Our Policies

We understand that plans can change. Because every Btriplecakes order is bespoke and ingredients, design time and tier sizing are reserved specifically for your date, the following terms apply to all confirmed orders.

Deposits

A non-refundable booking deposit of 30% of the total order value is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the collection or delivery date.

Cancellations by you

• More than 28 days before the event: deposit retained, no further charge.
• 14–28 days before: 50% of the total order value is payable.
• Less than 14 days before: 100% of the total order value is payable.

Rescheduling

We will always try to move your booking to a new date free of charge where possible, subject to availability and provided that at least 28 days' notice is given.

Cancellations by us

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your order due to circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid. Our liability is limited to the value of the order.

Btriplecakes ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or place an order, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR.

What we collect

• Name, email address, phone number and event/delivery address.
• Order details, dietary requirements and any design preferences you share with us.
• Basic technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type) when you visit this website.

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
• To deliver and manage your order.
• To send order confirmations and important updates about your booking.
• To comply with legal and accounting obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share information with trusted suppliers (e.g. payment processors, delivery partners) where strictly necessary to fulfil your order.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We retain order records for up to 6 years for tax purposes.

Orders & quotes

All quotes are valid for 14 days. An order is confirmed only once the booking deposit has been received and we have issued written confirmation.

Design

We work closely with you to bring your vision to life. Final designs are based on the agreed consultation brief; small artistic variations are part of the handmade nature of our work and do not constitute a fault.

Delivery & collection

Once a cake has been collected or signed for on delivery, responsibility passes to you. Cakes should be kept on a level surface in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. We cannot accept liability for damage caused after handover.

Photography

We may photograph finished cakes for our portfolio and social channels. Please let us know in advance if you would prefer your cake not to be shared publicly.

Liability

Our maximum liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

All Btriplecakes are made in a kitchen that handles the 14 major allergens, including wheat (gluten), eggs, milk/dairy, soya, nuts, peanuts and sesame. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.

Telling us about allergies

Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances at the time of booking. We will do our utmost to accommodate dietary requirements, including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Ingredient information

A full ingredient and allergen list for your specific cake is available on request before production begins. If you have a severe allergy, please discuss this with us before placing an order so we can advise honestly on suitability.

Storage & consumption

Cakes are best enjoyed within 3 days of collection and should be stored in a cool, dry place. Fillings containing fresh cream or fruit should be refrigerated. Please remove any non-edible decorations (dowels, ribbons, toppers) before serving.
